Delivery Metrics Tooling RFI

Tender description

This notice is to raise awareness of a Request for Information (RFI). BBC’s Product Group is an agile organisation, where individuals from different disciplines work together in multifunctional teams to design, develop, and deliver the BBC’s audience-facing digital products. The Product Group’s proposal is to procure and implement suitable delivery tooling to enable better visibility of work initiatives and automation for delivery metrics to support Product Group strategy for data informed decisions, and to enable better visibility of progress towards Product Group OKRs. Delivery tooling is used inconsistently across the Product Group. The primary tool in use is JIRA (of which the BBC has its own single, on-premise instance) but there are some teams who use other tools, e.g. GitHub and Smartsheets. Although JIRA use is widespread, its use is inconsistent: teams use different workflows for their project spaces and some with customised fields making summarising and comparing work across teams difficult.
