Boyne Vision - A Consultation on the Future of the River Boyne

The Boyne Rivers Trust wishes to engage a consultant to develop a community and stakeholder led consultation process that will inform the future direction and priorities for the protection and sustainable uses of the Boyne catchment. We wish to commission a Boyne Vision document as part of the stakeholder engagement and consultation process, surveying the views of people within our catchment to ensure the strategic direction of the newly formed Boyne Rivers Trust reflects local people's wants for nature and takes proper account of their concerns. Key Deliverables -Identification of key stakeholders and their roles in the Boyne Catchment. -Consultation process focused on several proposed themes. -Creative engagement with relevant stakeholders in the catchments to understand their current and future economic, social, cultural and environmental values of the catchment. -Analysis of key output from stakeholders to inform the Boyne Rivers Trust board & steering group in the development of a strategy. -Minimum four In-person community workshops. -Online survey questionnaire. -Desktop study and analysis of the key data pertaining to the main pressures on water quality in the Boyne and overview of the remedial actions required to mitigate these pressures -Consultation with LAWPRO, Meath County Council and other relevant agencies and local authorities. Preparation of a Boyne Vision report to include the following; -Written presentation of the results of the consultation process with ranked prioritisation of themes from respondents. -Presentation of the report to the Board and selected stakeholders. -Validation of findings. -Presentation of the report to project participants and community members.
