Tender description

The London Port Health Authority are inviting bidders to tender to supply and fit new engines for the patrol launch Lady Aileen. The Lady Aileen which was built in 1996 by William Osborne Ltd at Littlehampton West Sussex, using a custom-built Talisman hull of GRP construction with twin Scania DSI marine diesel engines developing 414Kw each. The vessel is 14.95 metres in length, 4.64 metres beam and a draught of 1.4 metres. Bidders are asked to submit a tender for the removal of the present engines and replace with new Tier 3 International Marine Organisation approved marine diesel engines with compatible gearboxes, shafts and propellers. The budget for the replacement of engines as detailed in the paragraph above is £300,000. A separate risk budget of £50,000 is only available for any unforeseen alterations/additional works to the vessel which may only be identified when the vessel is lifted out of the water.
