PROVISION OF FUNERAL SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS FOR PUBLIC HEALTH FUNERALS FOR BRISTOL CITY COUNCIL

Tender description

1. BACKGROUND 1.1 Bristol City Council is inviting tenders for the provision of Funeral Service Arrangements for Public Health Funerals. 1.2 Bristol City Council has a statutory duty under the provisions of Section 46 of the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984 to undertake the funeral of a deceased person, whose death has occurred with the boundary of Bristol City Council and where no other arrangements have been made or are about to be made. 2. CONTRACT INFORMATION 2.1 Bristol City Council is seeking to let a new Contract, under competition, for the provision of Funeral Service Arrangements for Public Health Funerals. 2.2 It is intended to let a contract for two years with a one-year extension. 2.3 The Services will need to be delivered at sites specified by Bristol City Council. These are currently South Bristol Cemetery and Crematoria and Canford Crematoria. However, the Council reserves the right to amend or vary the venues during the life of the Contract. Lot 1: 1.
