Pendle Water Bridleway - Habitat Creation

<p>We are looking to carry out environmental and habitat creation works along the new Pendle Water Bridleway which has been created over the existing footpaths on both sides of Pendle Water, see attached location plan. The bridleway works are part of the ongoing Lomeshaye Industrial Estate extension works and should enhance the bridleway and increase biodiversity along the route.</p> <p>The scheme includes planting, interpretation, signage and seating areas for a pleasant route for people getting to and from Lomeshaye Industrial Estate for work on foot or by bike with traffic free connections between Nelson and Brierfield to the estate. It will also create a circular route for leisure encompassing the Lomeshaye Marsh Nature Reserve. The proposed works should soften the industrial estate extension works.</p> <p>The funding for the habitat creation works finishes in March 2023. The works must be completed preferably in 8 weeks by March the 17th but definitely by the end of March 2023. Please refer to all the the attached documents but in particular the Landscape Specification and Appendix 5.
