Market Position Statement Consultant - Adult Social Care 2022

We’re looking to appoint an external consultant to write Sheffield’s “Market Position Statement”. The document will interpret what Sheffield’s Adult Social Care Strategy – Living the life you want to live (2021-2030) (currently under development, expected publication March 2022) means for providers of adult social care services in the city and those who might want to start operating here. The MPS should follow the format described in the Institute for Public Care’s guidance. Sheffield’s soon to be published Adult Social Care Strategy will set out a vision for the next 10 years. Called ‘Living the life you want to live', it’s about how we work together to help the people of Sheffield to live long, healthy and fulfilled lives. It has been written in collaboration with people across adult social care, including people who draw on social care. Sheffield’s market position statement (MPS) will be a companion document to the strategy and will summarise supply and demand in the city and signal business opportunities within the care market. It will play a significant part in enabling the council to fulfil its market shaping duty under the Care Act and to successfully implement its strategy and achieve the vision. The MPS will set out clearly and simply, a range of information relevant to individuals and businesses in the social care sector will give its readers information they may not already know, but which would be helpful in planning their future businesses, offer a clear picture of what gaps there are in the existing care market and identify what people who need care and support are saying about services. The MPS will tell providers what Sheffield Council’s plans are.
