Tender description
The VRU is looking to appoint a consultant to support the annual refresh of the Response Strategy and support partners with the implementation of the Serious Violence Duty. In May 2022, the West Yorkshire VRU received a further £5.8m through Home Office central funding to continue working with all relevant agencies to support a multi-agency, public health, long-term approach to preventing and tackling serious violence. A number of products were made mandatory by the Home Office in connection with this funding, including the completion of a Response Strategy. The VRU Knowledge Hub develop a yearly Strategic Needs Assessment which informs the Response Strategy. The VRU require additional capacity to engage and consult with our partners on the refresh of this strategy and amend it in accordance with the requirements of the Serious Violence Duty.
