Monaghan County Council proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of a multi-party framework agreement for the provision of Environmental Enforcement Services. Monaghan County Council carries out environmental enforcement under 3 broad thematic areas namely, waste enforcement, water enforcement, and to a lesser extent air enforcement. Whilst the vast majority of enforcement work is carried out by existing local authority staff resources and will continue to be carried out by existing local authority staff resources there may be occasions in which Monaghan County Council may wish to engage a competent environmental consultancy to carry out additional environmental enforcement activities and services under contract to Monaghan County Council. It should be noted by prospective tenderers that there is no guarantee of work under any proposed contract arrangement.
