Tender description

The equipment provides an automated patch clamp system to allow between 4-16 single cell ion channel recordings per experiment. The essentials of the equipment are that it must be built on the following criteria which are essential components. 1. Robot controlled for cell and drug delivery to the experimental environment minimising the potential for human error. 2. The system is built on best in class electrophysiology amplifiers. 3. The software environment is easy to use, flexible, adaptable and familiar. 4. The system is self-contained without the requirement for additional installations either to the building or additional equipment i.e. no requirement for vacuum lines to be installed in the building or additional standalone vacuum equipment.
