Tender description

The Contract is for the delivery of a new ‘Changing Places’ facility at Derg Valley Leisure Centre, Castlederg, County Tyrone. The works primary comprises of renovating an existing meeting room to provide, but not exclusive to, the following interventions: • Small scale demolition works, including the removal of existing floor and ceiling finishes. • The installation of structural steel beams and supports for a new ceiling hoist tracking system. • Construction of a new stud wall to include a new internal door. • Upgrade of existing mechanical and electrical installations to include all appropriate fixtures and fittings; including mains water supply, lighting, heating and ventilations. • Upgrade and connections to existing drainage system to include new inspection chambers, roddable back inlet gulley traps and an internal gulley. • Installation of new ‘Changing Places’ fixtures and fittings. • Installation of new wall, ceiling and floor finishes. The Contractor will also be expected to liaise with the manager of Derg Valley Leisure Centre to coordinate the works around the centre’s opening times; as well as ensure that access arrangements are developed that effectively maintain the security of the site, along with considering the health, safety and well-being of Derry City and Strabane District Council’s employees and the users of the facilities.
