Single Party Framework Agreement for Dublin City Council Public Lighting Upgrade Project

Tender description

The Lighting Upgrade Project shall: • Replace up to 40,000 luminaires with energy efficient LED luminaires; • Replace up to 4,000 lighting columns; • Replace significant amount of public lighting legacy cabling; • Replace up to 120 columns/luminaires with Heritage Columns/luminaires to enhance and improve the Public Realm; • Provide a Central Management System (CMS) to remotely monitor control and manage our Street Lights; and • Facilitate Smart City Applications within Dublin City. The project will involve works on Functional, Heritage and Contemporary Lighting installations on a broad spectrum of lighting infrastructure in different areas of Dublin City. This shall include, but not exclusively, luminaires on the Contracting Authorities underground and overhead cable installations, ESB Network underground and overhead cable installations, wall mounted luminaires, high mast luminaires, lighting on bridges, the Contracting Authorities housing complexes, parks, villages and lighting along the canals. It shall also consider smart city applications. Other possible works may include designing and delivering complimentary projects such as; Village Centre Lighting Renewal schemes, Bridge Lighting including Feature lighting, Christmas Lighting, Electric Vehicles, Master Planning and Building Lighting. Install a CMS system (including colour changing control systems) on some or all the above-mentioned luminaires and survey of further lighting installations around the city as determined in the future.
