MEDITE are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified suppliers for inclusion in the tender process for the supply of an OPERATIONS TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM at our manufacturing site in Clonmel. Only companies with experience and relative expertise in delivering an OPERATIONS TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMi or similar scope and scale in the wood panel industry as defined in the award criteria will be considered. Currently our manufacturing site is recording data by connecting directly to the machine’s PLC or by coping data from PLC and manually entering to database tables. This process is functional but is also time consuming and not completely fit for purpose. It is the ambition for this program to create an integrated OPERATIONS TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMi which can automatically record and store live Process information/data and Material Flow across all manufacturing areas in the mill. In addition to this, a common set of Dashboards, reports and Master data tables would be expected. The primary focus of the project is to have the ability to capture, and present live accurate manufacturing data which will assist in prompt and healthier decision making to improve Operations efficiency, performance, and profitability. Delivering common Dashboards and reports across all areas in operations will also support Quality, Maintenance, Supply chain and Finance departments in their process planning and decision making.
