FM22077 - Testing of Smart Washing Machines for Compliance with Ecodesign Legislation

Brief Description of Requirement UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS), on behalf of The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) wishes to appoint a supplier to undertake the Testing of 9 Smart Washing Machines in order to verify compliance with the EU regulations. The successful contractor is required to perform testing on a total of 9 smart washing machines to verify compliance with the following Regulations (and any amendments to these): • The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) Regulations 2021, which amends o Commission Regulation No 2019/2014 with regard to Energy Labelling requirements of smart washing machines, retained EU law o SI 2617/2010 The Ecodesign for Energy-Related products Regulation 2010 o SI 2514/2011 The Energy Information Regulations 2011, and • The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020, which amends o Commission Regulation (EU) No 2019/2023 with regard to Ecodesign requirements for smart washing machines retained EU law. The test methods applied should follow harmonised standards, the reference numbers of which have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, or other reliable, accurate and reproducible calculation and measurement methods, which considers the generally recognised state of the art. All attachments can be found with the Supplier Attachments tab within the Jaggaer eSourcing Portal. This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria as set out in the ITQ document.
