<p>BACKGROUND The RBH repairs service is one of our most important functions as a landlord and we aim to deliver the service to a high standard that meets the needs of our tenants. We employ a number of skilled technicians and tradespeople in our repairs teams to undertake necessary repairs to our properties. As well as day-to-day responsive repairs, the service area also includes compliance areas, a major works team (including empty homes works), planning team and an in-house stores facility. As costs increase and the demand for repairs increases, we want to review the scope of the work currently undertaken by the repairs service to ensure costs are allocated correctly to either revenue or capital budgets. OUTPUTS REQUIRED We are seeking to carry out a review of the work of the repairs team to: &bull; To consider the full scope of works undertaken by the repairs service &bull; Potential for budgets to be re-aligned to ensure correct allocation of revenue and capital expenditure including guidance on the optimum value for a &lsquo;response repair&rsquo; &bull; To understand what works well currently and areas for improvement and opportunity. &bull; To learn from external good practice about which trades could best be focused on in-house and which ones should continue to be done externally &ndash; examples include &lsquo;level access shower&rsquo; floor replacements and plastering and mould/condensation responses This should be presented in full report, an executive summary and also a PowerPoint presentation.</p> Keywords: Housing repairs, Consultancy
