Tender description

The Works comprise the design and construction of water infrastructure including the associated testing, commissioning and proving of same and including the Taking-Over of the Works by the Employer. The Works can be summarised as including the following design and construction elements: • Ballyman Low Level (10ML) Reservoir and pumping station to supply High level Reservoir • Ballyman High Level (2.5ML) Reservoir. • Approximately 13km of new watermains largely in semi urban areas of 180mm to 600mm diameter pipes • Secondary chlorination facilities • De-chlorination facilities The services to be provided include but are not limited to the following: • Detailed design of all aspects of the works as required by the project in accordance with the Works Requirements • All preparatory works for and construction of the permanent works as required, including general clearance, tree felling, and construction of site and access roads and erection of security fencing • Diversions of services including overhead ESB lines, pipelines, other drainage pipes and ducting • Construction of all required structures including tanks, foundation slabs, temporary and permanent buildings etc. and including any necessary piling, rock anchoring or other construction techniques • Construction of all pipelines and fittings, overflow pipes, scour pipes, attenuation tanks, drainage pipelines and connections to existing pipelines and all associated chambers and manholes • Associated MEICA works • Provision of all ancillary facilities required to ensure a fully functional facility • Provision of appropriate and sensitive landscaping Full details of the scope of works will be detailed in the ITT Lot 122854: Old Connaught & Woodbrook Water Supply Scheme Design Build Contract The Works comprise the design and construction of water infrastructure including the associated testing, commissioning and proving of same and including the Taking-Over of the Works by the Employer.
