To assess the maturity of industry capabilities, the Home Office ran Biometric Self-Enrolment Feasibility Trials in November and December 2021. It will be splitting up the technology testing into: 1. Self-service kiosk pilot 2. Second round of feasibility trials focussed on smartphone apps We are delighted to invite industry and academia to an open engagement event on the Home Office's vision for biometrics, which will include more details on the next steps following the November 2021 feasibility trials.
