Tender description
The rotors are required for a Sorvall ultracentrifuge. Only ultracentrifuge rotors that are compatible with a Sorvall machine can be used. Therefore Sorvall rotors must be procured. Sorvall is a ThermoFisher brand and the only source for these rotors is Fisher Scientific. They supply direct to customers, or via a third party: two third party suppliers have been identified - VWR and DJB Labcare. The cost associated with buying the Sorvall rotors from VWR and DJB is substantially higher than the cost of buying direct from Fisher.
