XYZ Machine Tools are widely used through the Faculty of Engineering. We have a significant amount of skilled technicians who can run these, as they are widely used due to their flexibility. This inclusion of these machines, which provides a universal set of software, controls and ways of working within our teaching environment will enable many staff to effectively train and support our students with little to no training. We need to ensure consistency between our existing machines and the ones that we are bringing into our main teaching workshop. XYZ Machine Tools are the only manufacturer of conventional and CNC controlled milling machines, this give us the flexibility to teach and operate in both modes without the need to do additional training to upskill the students.
