Summary of the work The specialist will need to be a highly experienced (Practitioner level) Test Engineer. Day to day planning, design, and development of automation tests. Contributing towards programme milestones. Embedding in existing Test team and project teams, and undertaking KT. Upholding DWP values and working within Government Digital Standards. Specialist role Data engineer Expected Contract Length 6 months Latest start date Friday 1 July 2022 Maximum Day Rate Up to £500ex VAT per day. Standard 8 hour working day, includes expenses to base location agreed with DWP . Early Market Engagement N/A Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will work with the existing DWP Test teams and the 'Cloud First' project. This will consist of DWP Digital staff and other 3rd party suppliers engaged in test automation development work. What Specialists Work On The specialist will be a highly experienced automation tester, able to deal with the design,development,testing /hardening and implementation of test packs. - Specialist will map requirements, design, and develop functional automation tests. Managing all the key dependencies for automation (environments,data,requirements, CI/CD tools etc) - Knolwedge transfer to existing test team members. - Support Cloud First project in delivery of key objectives. Skills & Experience • Test Analysis (DDaT) • Testing (DDaT) • Methods & Tools (DDaT) • Delivering at pace • Working together • Making effective decisions • Development of automated test suites • Code documentation • Modern standards approach • Web Application Testing • ISTQB or equivalent experience • Demonstrable experience of working in a enterprise scale organisation • Significant experience of designing test packs based discussion with stakeholders. • Significant experience of building automation packs • Good experience of undertaking knowledge transfer to existing teams. • Demonstrable experience of working in a transformation project, and supporting the delivery of key milestones. • Attend and participate in Agile ceremonies Nice to Haves • TestComplete and GitLab.com experience • Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, or Office365 experience Work Location Primarily at the DWP Digital Corporate Hub2- St Peters Square, Manchester. Working Arrangments Specialist will work within DWP Hybrid Approach of 8 working days per month in the office and remainder remotely until further notice. Security Clearance All suppliers must be BPSS cleared and On-Shore. Additional T&Cs It is essential that the Department (DWP) holds copies of and rights to all source code developed and accompanying intellectual property rights to the code to develop further or make changes as it sees fit. All work must be fully documented, and have accompanying knowledge transfer.
