Provision of a Financial Transaction Reconciliation Tool

NTA is procuring a new mass transit ticketing system, referred to as “Next Generation Ticketing” or “NGT”. As part of that project, a financial strategy has been developed and devised that necessitates the procurement of a separate financial transaction reconciliation tool to support the day-to-day operation of Next Generation Ticketing. This reconciliation tool shall be operated by NTA’s in-house Transport Technology Finance Team. The reconciliation tool is intended to sit between financial systems and ticketing systems. Lot 1: NTA is procuring a new mass transit ticketing system, referred to as “Next Generation Ticketing” or “NGT”. As part of that project, a financial strategy has been developed and devised that necessitates the procurement of a separate financial transaction reconciliation tool to support the day-to-day operation of Next Generation Ticketing. This reconciliation tool shall be operated by NTA’s in-house Transport Technology Finance Team. The reconciliation tool is intended to sit between financial systems and ticketing systems. The purpose of this tool is anticipated to be as followed: • Perform bank reconciliations on NGT bank accounts. • Perform reconciliations on NGT merchant accounts. • Ideally, track the totality and age of uncollected debts to enable NTA’s finance team to monitor the financial position of the NGT. • Perform other such reconciling activities of transactions within the NGT system. Ideally the tool should also be capable of reconciling similar transactions types of other NTA payment channels (primarily multiple other merchant services accounts and related bank accounts). This is not a call for competition. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is for information only and to inform potential Tenderers that NTA will be going to the market in the near future for a Financial Transaction Reconciliation Tool. There is no requirement for consultation at this time.
