Installation of ATEX Lighting & Associated Electrical Equipment

Tender description

The Port of Milford Haven operates an animal feed storage facility in Pembroke Port. It comprises two sheds, the former Atlantic Chill Store and the Western Hangar It has been identified that the operations can cause an explosive dust environment coded as CompEx Zone 21. The Port requires 2 ATEX compliant installations installed in 2 different storage facilities to mitigate the likelihood of fire and/or explosion from electrical sources of ignition, and or static electricity.The Port of Milford Haven wishes to appoint a contractor to provide a turnkey installation solution to achieve a minimum of 100 lux at floor level, which will meet CIBSE recommendations for a grain storage and loading facility. On completion of the installation, the Port will require an Explosive Protection Document as outlined within the specification, this should be arranged and supplied by the contractor and included with the H&S document as required under the Construction, Design & Management (CDM) Regulations 2015.
