Summary of the work You will be key part of multi-disciplined DWP Mobile team working to develop Mobile Apps for the Department turning. Have good working knowledge of interaction design in practice, creating and iterating prototypes to test and communicate ideas, helping the wider team understand user needs. What Specialists Work On You will be working as part of an internal multidisciplinary Mobility product team helping to develop mobile apps improving user experience. You will be accountable for understanding user needs and leading the design of services, products (mobile apps) and tools to meet them. Your focus will be on understanding user journeys and fulfilling user needs. Skills & Experience • Experience of designing mobile applications for iPhone and iPads • Strong knowledge of designing for and differences in mobile use cases vs desktop experience • Experience of doing research for internal applications for large private organisations or Government departments • Experience of prototyping and testing interactions for mobile devices • Experience of user centered analysis and design • Experience of working in agile software development teams, communicating analysis and insight to ensure product meets user needs Nice to Haves • Experience of designing mobile apps for Android • Experience of designing apps with Digital Workplace solutions context • Strong communication skills • Able to present recommendations and findings to senior leadership Work Location Manchester HUB 2 St Peter’s Square | Manchester - M2 3AA Working Arrangments Working arrangements will be a blend of remote working and working from the Manchester HUB site, you will spend roughly 40% of your time onsite and 60% at home.
