MK1 project will renew 150 track km of overhead line equipment along an important commuter and freight route between Fenchurch Street and Pitsea. MK1 is a mid-life OLE renewal project, 143 wire run replacements over a track distance of just under 150 kilometres plus 99 replacement and new OLE masts. to renew 115 wire runs over 120 Single Track Kilometres: • recovery of existing contact wire and catenary, small part steel and cantilevers; • recovery of redundant OLE masts; • validation of materials already procured and transport to site; • supply of materials where not already procured; • installation of contact wire and catenary, small part steel and cantilevers; • installation of new OLE masts onto foundations installed by others; • commissioning and providing hand back documentation.
