To prepare the West Cork & Kerry ACRES Co-operation Project Local Area Plan. Undertake detailed desktop study & consultations with relevant specialists and stakeholders

South Kerry Development Partnership is inviting tenders to complete the desktop study and to prepare the Local Area Plan and a Natura Impact Statement for the West Cork/Kerry ACRES Cooperation Project. The desktop study will include data collation and consultation with key specialists and stakeholders. Objectives of this tender 1) To undertake a detailed desktop study and a detailed consultation process with relevant specialists and stakeholders, to collate existing data sources and identify key habitats and species of European, national and local conservation importance in the Cooperation Project region which should be included as priority targets in the Local Area Plan for this agri-environmental Project; and to identify key supporting actions (non-productive investments & landscape measures) that could be included in the Local Area Plan to positively support the conservation status of these key targets; 2) To prepare the West Cork/Kerry ACRES CP Local Area Plan in consultation with the MacGillycuddy Reeks EIP Project Team, the Local Partnership Committee, key stakeholders and relevant specialists; 3) To undertake an Appropriate Assessment of the West Cork/Kerry ACRES CP Local Area Plan to ensure that it will not result in adverse impacts on habitats and species protected under the Birds and Habitats Directive or on the integrity of protected sites. Project Outputs • Local Area Plan for the West Cork/Kerry ACRES CP including ecological and environmental summary for the West Cork/Kerry CP region with supporting GIS datasets and maps; and • Natura Impact Statement for the West Cork/Kerry ACRES CP Local Area Plan.
