The Provision of Vehicle and Plant Equipment Recovery Services

Tender description

The council has a requirement for vehicle recovery services for both Glasgow City Council fleet and publicly owned vehicles of which the fuel tyres shall range from diesel, petrol, electric, hydrogen or dual fuel. Lot 1: As detailed in section ii.i.4 the council is looking vehicle recovery services for Glasgow City Council for a range of vehicles and fuel types. The council has established these services will be required for the following categories of vehicles/plant: cars, vans, trucks, plant and agriculture. Recovery of Council vehicles following accident or breakdown and transport to one of the Council’s strategic depots or to a facility belonging to one of the Council’s existing contractors for repair; 1.Recovery of Council plant machinery following accident or breakdown and transport to one of the Council’s strategic depots or contractor’s facility for repair; 2.Recovery and moving of public vehicles prior to Council works (for example, road repairs) being carried out, or prior to public events taking place; 3.Recovery, storage and disposal of abandoned or un-taxed vehicles from public roads; 4.Provision of hire of vehicles for public safety considerations at events, concerts, sports fixtures; 5.Services will be required as follows: a. street to street, b. street to council depot(s) c. street to supplier premises 6.All associated record keeping, communication and police liaison required as part of the services outlined above.
