Tender description

There is an urgent need to undertake refurbishment works both externally and internally. The existing roof is coming to the end of it useable life and has suffered from leaks of a number of years. The Current roof construction is predominately of a single layer of metal sheet covered butyl membrane supported by a reinforced concrete frame. Existing M and E infrastructure is also end of life and requires upgrading as well as numerous other minor elements throughout the building requiring attention. the building needs to be upgraded to meet the needs of visitors with special access requirements. an asbestos survey has found several locations to contain asbestos and in accordance with the Asbestos regulations 2012 the Trust has a duty to manage any ACMS with the estate. Works will need to be phased to allow the safe occupation of sections of the building throughout the 24 week project.
