The Glenstal Abbey Trust SEC seeks a baseline energy audit for the Abbey, the School and the Guest facilities, the development of a register of opportunities for energy conservation and generation, and the development of an Energy Master Plan. Many energy saving and generating initiatives have already been in place for over a decade. It is envisaged that local knowledge and experience would be harnessed and current scientific expertise employed in the development of the Energy Master Plan with ambition to reduce the energy demand by 30% within 10 years. It is envisaged that local knowledge and experience would be harnessed and current scientific expertise employed in the development of the Energy Master Plan with ambition to reduce the energy demand of the Glenstal campus by 30% within 10 years.
