The Development and Facilitation of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Comhairle na nÓg (dlr Comhairle na nÓg)

Tender description

The main service of this contract will be to provide for the Development and Facilitation of dlr Comhairle na nÓg in line with the Comhairle na nÓg Five Year Development Plan which aims to build on Comhairle na nÓg’s significant success so far. The Five Year Development Plan will further enhance the Comhairle structure, reach more children and young people, influence more decision-makers and deliver on Article 12 of the UNCRC, to make a true difference to the lives of young people 3.1.1 The Service Provider, in conjunction with the Contracting Authority, will: • Continue to grow the dlr Comhairle na nÓg into a strong inclusive collective voice for young people across dlr county. • Support the implementation of the dlr Comhairle na nÓg annual work plan which addresses issues and topics as identified by young people themselves. • Continue to build on dlr Comhairle na nÓg as a consultative forum. • Continue to facilitate the interaction of dlr Comhairle na nÓg with policy makers and service developers locally and nationally to ensure that the views of young people are included in shaping policies and services.
