St Aidan's National School Shannon Mechanical Upgrade Summer Works 2022

Tender description

The scope of the works includes the following: a) De-commission, Isolate, drain down, remove and dispose of the redundant one pipe heating distribution system and associated services to a licenced waste facility. b) Alterations to the recently upgraded heating centre including pump and controls upgrades to serve the new heating distribution system c) New Heating MCC and BMS system to serve the upgraded heating and DHW system d) Supply and install a new two pipe heating distribution pipework and radiator system throughout the school e) Controls upgrade to provide new two port motorised valves and room thermostats to individual classrooms, circulation areas and office to provide independent local control. f) New heating system control panel with all associated controls and provide a new user timeclock interface located in the principal’s office together with a simple boost facility control panel and remote access via smart phone app. g) Supply and install a new format 30 sectional cold water storage tank h) Supply and install a new indirect calorifier and associated controls and pumps and new hot water distribution pipework system with secondary return to serve the school with hot water. i) All associated electrical works including isolations disconnections and strip out and new power and controls cabling run in galvanised steel containment systems to serve the new heating system j) All associated builders works including clean out of the store room to convert to the DHW Calorifier room and repainting and making good, taking down the existing corridor layin tile ceilings and for new ceiling reinstatement on completion of work. k) Making good and redecoration to match existing finishes l) Testing & commissioning of the heating system and heating distribution services and controls and the new water tank and water distribution systems. m) Maintenance during the 12 months defects period. n) Service & Maintenance of boilers at end of defects period.
