Spaceport Cornwall Hazard & Safety Case Revision

Tender description

After several rounds of feedback from the CAA, it has become evident the project requires external expertise to develop the Hazard Identification for the spaceport. After a CAA audit conducted in April 2022, it is also evident that a revision to the Safety Case is also required. B2Space has worked with the spaceport before, having drafted the first safety case, and worked continuously throughout the licensing process in defining the CAA’s requirements and applying them to the application iteratively. The spaceport now requires the consultancy of B2Space to work on the HAZID and Safety Case elements for the next revision of the spaceport application. Deliverables: 1) Delivery of spaceport hazard log BSpace shall work with MAREX, Cornwall Airport Limited and Cornwall Council to identify the hazards, likelihood, consequence, extent, controls and mitigations for the spaceport operation. 2) Safety case revision BSpace shall revise the spaceport safety case using the outputs of deliverable 1 and other changes taken place since the last iteration submitted in February 2022.
