Tender description

Burren Nature Sanctuary is the interpretive centre for the biodiversity of the Burren. We aim to educate about conservation by providing a fun day out. Part of a wider project of developments is the design and delivery of a series of sculptural interventions with interpretation across the nature sanctuary site. We are seeking the services of an interpretative design team to work with (local) artists to design, develop and deliver exterior upgrades including x sculptural interventions with accompanying exterior audio interpretation with the aim of increasing accessibility, enjoyment and engagement of the unique Burren landscapes and its biodiversity. For the purposes of this tender, we are looking for creative responses relating to the following existing areas of the site. Examples of the type of approach are outlined below. See map attached in documents Sculptural Art Installations 1) Woodland- Chainsaw carved large hardwood owl 1.5m high including post 2) Meadow- Copper and enamel Irish Ladies tresses orchid 2m high 3) Turlough- Mosaic dragonfly 2 metres length – this installation to include rotating ‘sign’ to interpret the Turlough 4) Rocks- Stone badger 1.5 m length Exterior Interpretation Each sculptural art installation is to include an audio winder (show example) with content delivered in five languages . 6) Audio interpretation is to be integrated into the 4.NO sculptural artistic installations or set near adjacent seating. 7) An additional exterior graphic panel in the Biodiversity Bubble will integrate wind up audio interpretation in 5 languages and aroma dispensers.
