Tender description

In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine DLUHC have established the Homes for Ukraine scheme, providing LA's with a tariff funding and responsibilities to conduct safeguarding and property checks on sponsors, provide ongoing support to sponsors and ensure Ukrainians receive resettlement support . DLUHC have not yet published the LA funding agreement with the specific details. A Cabinet Report for permission to procure has been approved and a procurement exercise is now underway, the new contract will include UKRS and the Afghan and Ukraine resettlement and Afghan hotel wraparound support that have been established recently. The new contract is expected to begin in October 2022, meaning there will be a six month gap without a contract in place. It is estimated that 150 Ukrainians will require resettlement support during the next six months. Refugee Action currently deliver deliver resettlement support ( a specialist service) on the UKRS and Afghan programmes at a unit cost of £3,999.00 per person for 12 months support.
