***PRE-MARKET ENGAGEMENT EXERCISE*** ID 4177568 Department for the Economy Geothermal Feasibility Study. The Department for the Economy (DfE) is currently preparing to initiate a procurement process to establish a contract to undertake two geothermal feasibilities studies, one deep in Co Antrim and one shallow on the Stormont Estate. The potential scale and scope of this service is such that it offers a significant opportunity to bidders. Prior to initiating the procurement the DfE wishes to establish: • the level of market interest in participating in the procurement process, • the capacity of the market to complete the contract(s), and • how best to proceed with the contract(s) in the most efficient and effective way. Two separate projects are proposed for consideration. They could either be run concurrently or as standalone work packages depending on funding, resources, capacity and approvals, which is another objective of this Pre-Market Engagement exercise, to establish the best route to market. The next stage in the process will be considered once this Pre-Market Engagement exercise has been completed.
