Provision of a Food Hygiene Inspection Service

<p>Bury Council currently has approximately 1340 registered food businesses which are routinely inspected under food hygiene legislation according to a risk based programme laid down in the Food Standards Agency`s statutory code of practice. Due to limited internal resource the Council is seeking a suitably qualified external organisation to support the process of inspecting 34 outstanding category D, 131 outstanding category E and 185* outstanding category U&rsquo;s inspections that require completion before 31st March 2023 in order to meet with the requirements set by the Food Standards Agency&rsquo;s requirements. *Newly registered food hygiene premises is likely to change throughout the year. The contract is for an initial period from 1st September 2022 to 31st March 2023. There are options to extend the contract for two further twelve month periods covering April 2023 to March 2024 and April 2024 to March 2025. However, please be aware that both the award of the contract and the options to extend will be subject to internal funding as well as successful performance.
