Tender description
Marine and terrestrial ground investigation at North Haven, Fair Isle consisting of two terrestrial boreholes, six marine boreholes and six marine vibracores. Terrestrial boreholes to be undertaken before marine boreholes and vibracores. Marine and terrestrial ground investigation at Grutness, Shetland Mainland consisting of 1 terrestrial borehole, six marine boreholes and six marine vibracores. Terrestrial borehole to be undertaken before marine boreholes and vibracores. Obtaining samples, site observations, in-situ and laboratory physical and chemical testing are required as part of the works as are factual reports. Due to programme requirements and environmental considerations mobilisation for the terrestrial (land based) boreholes needs to be separate and in advance of that for the marine boreholes and vibracores. Period when works are required to take place: 13/02/23 through 07/08/23 A restricted procedure is to be followed with Early Contractor Involvement (ECI)for a below threshold works contract. The principal objective of this procedure is to identify and appoint a single Contractor to engage in the ECI process and subsequently carry out the works required. Those tenderers passing the SPD requirements will progress to have their quality submissions evaluated. The successful tenderer shall enter into open book discussions under an ECI contract to agree the prices and risk share arrangements for undertaking the works.
