<p>Wirral Community Health & Care Foundation Trust are looking for expressions of interest to run a Programme to Facilitate the Implementation of a Supervision Champion Model across the Trust The Supervision Champion role will enable our organisation to develop workforce capability and capacity to deliver Clinical Supervision. This Champion role will ultimately enhance the well-being of staff and therefore the experience of care for patients. The focus on staff wellbeing with organisational performance will impact on the quality experience and outcomes of the patients. The role of the Supervision Champion is to support a unique form of supervision which focuses on emotional systems motivating the response to a work situation or difficulty and includes elements of mindfulness based exercises with a view to enhancing well-being, resilience and improving care. Facilitated reflective discussion should • Co-creating a safe space • Integrating mindfulness based stress-reduction exercises • Focusing on the emotional systems motivating our response to a situation • Considering the role of our internal critic in sustaining or underpinning our response to a situation • Maintaining a compassionate flow to self and consequently to others Evaluation of the impact of reflective supervision suggests that it helps and supports individuals to develop resilience based competences. These competences enable staff to: • Recognise and attend to workplace stressors and their emotional response to them • Increase their ability to respond positively by developing more effective strategies • Develop an increased awareness of the importance of self-care • Question organisational practices which impact negatively on staff (including their own) and patient well-being Who is it for? The Supervision Champions role is relevant to any member of the health or social care workforce because they are all influenced by the emotional consequences of personal, relational or organisational demands; for example, nurses, allied health professionals, nurse associates, student nurses and care workers. Aims of programme • To enable practice development nurses/facilitators, clinical educators etc. and those already familiar with models of clinical supervision or reflection(Champions), to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to implement RBCS(Cascade)with nurses, nursing associates, allied health professionals, students and care workers, across organisations • To support the development of a resilient workforce and organisation who are able to protect themselves from the emotional and physiological impacts of their roles About the programme The programme would involve completion of 15 hours study, groupwork and reflections which would be delivered virtually.</p> Keywords: healthcare, Education
