itt_4984 - DEV - Climate Smart Jobs (CSJ) Programme Climate Smart Jobs (CSJ) Programme opportunity seeks to procure Supplier for delivery of 2 components, intended to grow climate smart agribusinesses to create jobs: - Component 1A will be a market systems development intervention which will aim to build resilience to climate change for at least 130,000 Ugandan households through climate smart agriculture. - Component 1B will run a challenge fund called the ‘Uganda Climate Innovation Fund’ which will aim to facilitate transformational change in Uganda’s ability to adapt to and mitigate climate change and promote sustainable land management, with at least six innovations likely to enable transformational change in the agricultural sector due to the programme intervention. The expected start date of the contract is September 2022. The contract will run until the end of March 2026. It may however be extended by up to two (2) years. Contact Value excluding any extension is up to £15.5 million. The budget for the period until the end of March 2026 will be divided between the two components as follows: - up to £13.5 million for Component 1A - up to £2 million for Component 1B The maximum value of the contract, including the optional two-year extension is up to £23.25 million.
