Tender description

<p>We are looking for a local retail partner who will be able to provide the bikes for our project events. The retailer will also provide an opportunity for members of the public to view and purchase Ebike&rsquo;s, and where participants have been identified who do not have the opportunity to use the Cycle to Work Scheme, will be provided with the opportunity to purchase a bike at a discounted cost. Section 2: Service Requirement The supplier will provide three male specific and three female specific electric bicycles. The bikes are to be the same brand and where possible the same model. The bikes will be equipped with: &bull; Mid-motor system with torque sensing manufactured by major brand. &bull; integrated display and control system &bull; Shimano or SRAM gear set &bull; hydraulic disc brakes &bull; integrated front and rear lights &bull; mudguards &bull; pannier rack &bull; kickstand The bikes will be provided as three men specific bikes in small medium and large. And three women specific bikes in small medium and large. In addition that the supplier will provide one folding electric bike. The bike will be equipped with: &bull; Mid-motor system with torque sensing manufactured by major brand. &bull; Integrated display and control system &bull; Shimano or SRAM gear set &bull; integrated front and rear lights The supplier will also provide an electric cargo bike. The bike will be equipped with: &bull; Mid-motor system with torque sensing manufactured by major brand &bull; integrated display and control system &bull; hydraulic disc brakes &bull; integrated front and rear lights &bull; mudguards &bull; stand The eight E-bike will be provided by the beginning of May. If there is a foreseen issue with this delivery date an alternative date should be suggested. As part of the promotion of e-bikes, the project will look to work with individuals who don&rsquo;t have access to the government Cycle to Work Scheme. In doing so, qualifying participants will be offered a discount on the purchase of an e-bike to a similar level offered through the cycle to work scheme, up to a total of 25 individual discounts. The supplier will work with the project team to facilitate discounted e-bikes. The supplier must be able to provide a range of the ebikes from high through to low and models both in reference to specification and pricing. The supplier must have a showroom where customers will be able to view and select suitable e-bikes. In addition, there is the opportunity for the supplier to attend the event with the council to offer technical advice about E-bike&rsquo;s, but without applying any pressure to purchase one. This is an opportunity for the supplied to build further relations with local communities. Section 3: Budget/Spend Information The total budget for the purchase of bikes is &pound;26,500. Bidders should provide a breakdown of the cost for each bike. Section 4: Performance Measures Weighting Quality The type of bikes that can be provided in line with the specification and how quickly they can be delivered. 50% Able to provide the public with a wide range of E-bikes and prices. 10% Cost 40% All of the E-bikes are to be provided by the provided by the beginning of May. If the supplier is unable to meet this deadline they should indicate the date they could make the delivery. Provide a full itemised quote for the E-bike&rsquo;s listed above including as a minimum make and model specification and cost. The supplier should indicate the range of bikes they would be able to provide to members of the public who wish to purchase one, including prices. Section 5: Timescales The seven E-bike&rsquo;s identified above will need to be delivered by the end of June, if this will be difficult please let us know when you will be able to provide the seven e-bikes. The project will continue to run through until October 2022. The supply will be able to provide e-bikes to members of the public through to the end of October 2022.</p> Keywords: E Bikes , Bicycle
