Tender description

Detritiation of tungsten is a high priority topic where atomistic modelling can provide unique insights and materials property information of practical engineering value. To this end, the UKAEA proposes a modelling effort with a focus on the role of surface oxidation in the detritiation of tungsten tiles following fusion reactor service, including eventualities of accidental exposure to oxygen during service. Two phases of this project are envisaged.
