Tender description

The Estates Department propose to make upgrades to the low voltage electrical network, by installing a new 2000kva generator and the installation of two 11kv - 400v step down transformers rated at 2000kva. The existing 1000kva generator controls are in need of upgrading to allow total resilience to the Nucleus building allowing full coverage by a secondary source of power to both Essential and Non-Essential supplies in the event of a mains failure. This project will involve a survey of the LV electrical infrastructure and enabling works to the existing LV switch room including building and civil works. There will also be modifications needed to the existing LV switchgear and cabling and earthing systems.
