System Integrator to design,supply,implement and support indoor Open RAN mobile network - PIN for Pre-market engagement

The purpose of this PIN is to advise all interested suppliers of Digital Catapult's intention of a future procurement for design, supply, implementation and support of OpenRAN indoor mobile network. Digital Catapult is seeking to engage with Open RAN System Integrators who have the capability to Design, Install, configure, Integrate, and supply Open RAN hardware (Radio Units), software (Centralised Unit (CU), Distributed Units (DU) and RAN Intelligent Controllers (RIC)). The System Integrator shall provide professional services to build, implement and integrate an 5G Open RAN system distributed across three indoor sites and integrated with the 5G SA core network. In addition, we require professional services for ongoing support and maintenance for a two year period following go-live.This pre-market engagement process is intended to enable Digital Catapult to obtain market understanding, and potentially help to refine our requirements and tender documentation development for our future tender. Our intention is to procure a single contractor capable of meeting all above requirements. As part of the “Open Access” requirement, Digital Catapult will work with equipment, services and solutions from several manufacturers and does not want a position of exclusivity of supply from any one particular manufacturer.
