UKHSA_Scientific- Provision of a KI Discus System (VTF)

Tender description

UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is planning to purchase a KI-Discus test instrument for use in its Vaccine Taskforce laboratories. UKHSA believes that the KI-Discus test instrument supplied by CTS Europe Ltd is the only available test instrument which can meet its requirements. The KI Discus test equipment is required to carry out routine performance testing of microbiological safety cabinets and other safety critical equipment. Performance testing of microbiological safety cabinets must be undertaken at regular intervals to ensure their safe operation and to maintain regulatory compliance of UKHSA high containment facilities and equipment. UKHSA believes that the KI-Discus test instrument supplied by CTS Europe Ltd is the only available test instrument that can meet the test specifications set out in BS.EN12469:2000 (measuring operator protection factors in Class I and Class II microbiological safety cabinets). We need to be able to meet the test specifications to comply with HSE and ACDP regulatory requirements for containment level 2 and level 3 laboratories.
