Request to Participate in a Panel for the Provision of Patent Agency Services

DCU is seeking expressions of interest for the establishment of a panel for the provision of patent agency services. DCU Invent, is responsible for the management and implementation of Dublin City University’s Intellectual Property Policy. The core role of the DCU Invent is the identification, protection and commercial management of IP assets created from DCU’s extensive research activities, such as patents, design rights and copyright (including software). DCU Invent currently has an active patent portfolio of approx. 72 patent families and typically files 10 -15 new patent applications per year. The services required by DCU Invent are drafting, filing and maintenance of patents on DCU‘s behalf. DCU has a significant base of world-class research activity across all academic disciplines and industry sectors. For this reason, we seek capabilities across a broad range of technical expertise in areas associated with: • Engineering (including energy, environment, and climate) • Materials • Life Sciences • ICT • Medical Technologies Please note an administrative deadline for submission of proposals is set for Friday 1 July at 12:00 to allow DCU to establish an initial panel. However, please note that applications will be accepted throughout the lifecycle of the Panel at any stage
