Nature Based Solutions on a Landscape Scale (Shared Outcomes Fund)

Tender description

The Shared Outcomes Funded (SOF) Nature-based Solutions for Climate Change at the Landscape Scale Programme proposes to open a one-off competitive grant scheme shortly. The Programme intends to offer a small number of landscape scale partnerships a share of £5m funding that will run through to March 2024. We intend to take this market engagement exercise into account in finalising the grant scheme. The final content of the Programme and the application and award process may be different from what is stated in this brief. Grants offered through this Programme would support areas of habitat restoration and creation within the broader landscape of each project area, with a particular focus on habitats where further carbon and greenhouse gas sequestration evidence needs have been identified. The Programme Team will use the project areas to undertake research to: fill gaps in our understanding of carbon and greenhouse gas sequestration within the natural environment, to explore how Nature-based Solutions can be incorporated into a mixed landscape with a variety of land uses and to better understand how public and private funding can work together to further restore nature.
