NHS Fife is seeking proposals from bidders who can deliver a financial health check programme for NHS Fife staff. NHS Fife is seeking proposals from bidders to deliver a programme delivering financial health checks for NHS Fife staff. Paid work has the potential to protect health, and contribute to reducing health inequalities, by increasing income through earnings and by meeting important social and psychological needs. Those who are in less well paid jobs however are more likely to feel the impact of poverty on their health and wellbeing. The aim of this programme of work is to ensure that NHS Fife staff have access to all financial supports and benefits to which they are entitled. Enabling staff to access financial supports will contribute to improving the health and wellbeing of the organisation and the local communities in which NHS Fife staff live. Applicants should describe in detail how they will meet these outcomes and it is suggested that the programme of activities include: - Proactive outreach to ensure people are accessing all the income they are entitled to; - Outreach advice and support; and, - Advice and support to reduce household expenditure.
