The Provision of Railway Chaplaincy Services

Tender description

Network Rail intends to award a three-year contract (with a potential option to extend for a further 12-month period at Network Rail’s discretion) to a sole supplier. The supplier shall be required to provide a focused, proactive innovative and integrated Chaplaincy service, capable of effectively providing national, annual 24/7 emotional support services for rail staff during and immediately after traumatic incidents, as well as undertaking proactive site visits to industry locations. The key objectives of the proposed chaplaincy services are as follows: • To provide immediate, responsive, and proactive support to our workforce during and after traumatic incident to help manage any welfare or wellbeing risks/issues; • Encourage the normalisation of discussing mental health issues; and • Raise awareness and signpost staff to existing Network Rail Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services.
