Supply, collection and recycling of glass from bring sites in Cork City

Cork City Council currently arranges the collection and recycling of glass from one civic amenity site, thirty five bring sites located throughout Cork city. Some of these are located on property owned by Cork City Council while others are located on privately owned property (e.g. shopping centres, leisure centres, schools and 3rd level institutions, sports grounds, etc.). Cork City Council is now inviting tenders from competent contractors for the provision of glass banks, collection and recycling of glass from those banks and the maintenance of these banks in accordance with the specifications outlined in this document. As a guide to the level of work, approximately 2500-3000 tonnes of glass may be deposited throughout the sites. The contract will be for two years and may be extended by one further year at the discretion of Cork City Council.
