Secure Destruction of Confidential Waste

Tender description

As part of the responsibilities under the Data Protection Act 2018 and duties under the General Data Protection Regulation, the Council is required to have robust procedures in place for the secure management of its information including its secure and confidential destruction. The Council are looking to undertake a procurement exercise to implement a service contract with a suitably capable and accredited supplier for the provision of a confidential waste uplift and disposal service across all SLC locations and buildings. The procurement for Secure Destruction and Confidential Waste will be carried out through an Open Tender process on Public Contracts Scotland Tender (PCST). Interested bidders will have to complete the 3 envelopes as part of their submission. Qualification - Completion of the Single Procurement Document (SPD) and any mandatory/exclusion criteria set out by the Council. Technical - Evaluation of quality questions assessing technical capability. Commercial - Evaluation of Price The Technical and Commercial weighting will be 60% and 40% respectively. Bids will be assessed on the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT). The contract will be for an initial 3 year period with an optional extension period of up to 24 months at the discretion of the Council.
