The proposed work is required to be undertaken urgently to meet the Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB) report recommendations for safety of medical gases. The specific aim of this project is to formalise the roles of the Authorising Engineer (AE), Authorising Person (AP) and Credited Person (CP) and provide an accredited qualification framework that satisfies all the current legislative requirements.
