Summary of the work We would like to migrate the content of a walking trail website from its existing platform/host to a new one. We' d like to maintain the integrity and function of the current website. Existing website: https://www.thamesestuarypath.co.uk/ Expected Contract Length Likely to be 3 days of work including follow up if any issues with migration. Latest start date Friday 1 July 2022 Budget Range 3 days x £350 per day = £1,050 plus the annual cost of hosting the website for 5 years. c. £120 p.a. x 5 yrs = £600 Contingency planning: 1 day x £350 Total: £2,000 Why the Work is Being Done The Thames Estuary Path website was created several years ago and will no longer be hosted on the existing platform. We would like to migrate all the existing content to a new host/platform, keeping it within current compliance guidelines. Ideally the work would be completed before the start of the school summer holidays by the end of July 2022. The website can be accessed here: https://www.thamesestuarypath.co.uk/ Problem to Be Solved We would like to keep our website up and running for the public to view on a suitable new platform. Who Are the Users The users are members of the public interested in hiking outdoors. We need to keep the website content which includes a PDF, non interactive graphic of maps and links to railway timetables and google maps online. Existing Team Working with an ECC project manager Current Phase Not applicable Skills & Experience • Have skills to research a new host to move our website to • Have skills to add our domain name at our new host • Have skills to move our site’s files using FTP • Have skills to Export our site’s content from our old host • Update configuration details if needed • Test our site • Move custom email addresses • Update our domain’s nameservers if applicable • Test everything again • Ensure migrated website meets accessibility and security standards Nice to Haves • Please provide a minimum of three references of work you’ve completed previously on a similar project and scale. • Provide evidence of previous projects where you identified risks/pitfalls for this type of work and how you have applied it to your work/projects as a learning point. • It would be useful if they have worked for a local authority previously but not essential. Work Location Remotely working from home Working Arrangments We would like to work with the supplier via Zoom/MS Team calls, phone calls with regular updates on progress. We do not need to meet in person because we can effectively meet online and limit travel expenses.
